AND POSTNATAL RECOVERY

Some come to Pilates during pregnancy to maintain a level of fitness. However the benefits of Pilates for pregnancy extend beyond staying in shape.  A specialized prenatal Pilates program addresses the incredible changes that come with nurturing a baby and prepares you for the process of labor. Prenatal sessions are designed to help you:
  • Address pelvic joint instability, tightness in the chest, and low back pain
  • Understand how to push effectively during labor
  • Help with fetal positioning
  • Create a mindfulness and breathing practice for prenatal and labor anxiety

My postnatal programming helps your body find its way back into alignment after pregnancy and labor. The studio is equipped with a  space for your baby, if you would like to bring him/her along. Postnatal sessions are designed to help you:
  • Heal your Diastasis Recti (separation of the top layer of abdominal muscles, which is common during pregnancy)
  • Reconnect to your reflexive core and recover core function after C-section procedures
  • Rehabilitate your pelvic floor
  • Address common physical demands of parenthood, such feeding and carrying a newborn
